Because the chief of employees to Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont, Paul Mounds Jr. ’07 helps to handle the state authorities’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. “I all the time inform folks, ‘I don’t work in politics; I work in public service,’” Mounds says.

Born in Hartford, Mounds grew up understanding that he wished to serve his group. He selected to attend Trinity due to its sturdy political science program and its Legislative Internship Program, which gave him early expertise working on the Capitol.
He sees parallels between the methods the state and Trinity School are getting by the pandemic. “There’s no playbook for this,” Mounds says. “Trinity deliberate, however supplied flexibility inside their plan, to regulate. It led to the varsity with the ability to fulfill the tutorial mission.”
Mounds has all the time appreciated the connections between Trinity and its residence metropolis of Hartford. “It’s not only a college on the summit; it’s a part of the heartbeat of Hartford,” Mounds says of Trinity.
“I used to be born in Hartford, Connecticut—similar to Trinity School,” he says. “I’m proud to inform anybody that I’m a Trinity School Bantam.”
